To ensure that your makeup stays put use an eye primer because nothing is worse than a smokey eye that travels, smears, and settles into fine lines. Use a pencil liner to trace your top lash line from the inner corner to the outer. For an extra-sultry effect, line your inner bottom lash line, too.
A smokey eye shouldn't have any harsh lines; it should be softly blended at the edges. Using a Q-tip or a smudge brush, lightly smudge the shadow at the crease and along bottom lashes.
Blend a dark shade from your lashes to crease, and then, use a small, angled brush to drag the shadow along your lower lash lines.Intensify the outer corner and highlighte the inner corner and the brow bone. For the eyes I've been using L' Oreal Colour Riche Le Kajal 01 Oriental Black and Eau de Rose Colour Riche smoky eyeshadow quad (both products were a gift from my boyfriend )
The quad contains four shades with pink and purple shades. The darkest being a rich burgundy color followed by a dirty pink then a nude pink and finally a very light baby pink color almost like white. All the colors except burgundy contain fine silvery shimmer. The burgundy color has multi-colored shimmer particles, and on the skin it transforms in a nice purple aubergine.
You'll want to apply a few coats of mascara so lashes are thick and dark. If you don't have naturally long, curled lashes, curl them with a lash curler first. I used L'Oreal Volume Lashes So Couture, a new mascara I wanted to try and I have to say is amazing.
About the face, I've used Revlon Colorstay Foundation (Golden Beige mixed with Natural Tan), Collistar Silk Loose Powder and L'Oreal True Match Blush in 145 Rosewood, very soft and natural shade for my cheeks. You might start with your eyes first to avoid fall outs on your freshly done foundation.
For lips I picked something nudy and peachy from L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick Collection Exclusive in Juliannes's Barely Peach shade.A smoky eye looks prettiest when it pops out against minimal makeup.
If you want more intensity and drama you can add a bit more black eyeshadow but don't forget to blend it good and to avoid working it up to your brows because raccoon eyes are never cute :))
This last picture is very different as I intensify the eyes with just a bit of black shadow, a dust of mat bronzer (Catrice) and also a different lipstick shade( 285 Pink Fever L'Oreal Colour Intense). Let me know if you liked this look and if you would like to try it on.
