CLARINS Delectable Self Tanning Mousse with Mirabelle Oil

Recently I've got a nice sample of tanning mousse from Clarins and because I prefer and really like sunless tan I decided to run a test with it and see how it develops, if it's really worth the money and if I should add it to the list of my favorite sunless tanning products.

CLARINS Delectable Self Tanning Mousse with Mirabelle Oil is suitable both for body and face and it has SPF 15 (avobenzone sunscreen ).
I  have been using this tanning mousse several times (3 times ) this week and I had quite a nice experience with the product, mostly because the texture is feather-light, it feels like a whipped cream that melts on your face leaving behind a vanilla cookie smell. Clarins claims that the scent of the tanning mouse is more like fresh and fruity but my boyfriend who had no idea what I smeared on my face at that time told me that I smell like cookies, so cookies it is ! To be honest, I would have preferred if it had no scent at all.

The full size product comes in a jar of 125 ml .

Unexpectedly the color of the tanning mousse is completely milky white, just like a normal daily moisturizer. The product gets absorbed really fast in the skin and the tanning develops gradually after 3-4 hours. The tanning color is nice, soft and subtle, not orange but also not olive toned and it lasts for several days if you don't exfoliate. It felt very comfortable on my dry skin, it did not streaked and it wasn't necessary to use a complementary moisturizer before or after.

When applying to the face make sure you exfoliated first and blend it up into your hairline.

CLARINS Delectable Self Tanning Mousses enriched with Mirabelle oil and Aloe Vera, Safflower and anti -free radical vitamin E.

The product is nice but a little bit overpriced (40 euro ). Overall my tanning experience with CLARINS Delectable Self Tanning Mousse with Mirabelle Oil wasn't bad at all, but for the same price I can find much better sunless tanning lotions/ mousse.

What do you think about sunless tanning products ? Have you ever tried self tanning lotions/mousse/creams /spray or any other self tanning product ?

  1. I'm so lazy when it comes self tanning that I hardly ever use it. I find it difficult to get even look and some of them are so pricey.
