As a 30th anniversary tribute to Terracotta bronzing powder, Guerlain's in -house perfumer Thierry Wasser has interpreted the legendary powder as a sun soaked invitation fragrance. An iresistible and sensual composition, lush and rich that makes you dream of a hot summer vacation in the South of France or on a beautiful exotic beach.
I absolutely love the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer and the Terracotta Jolie Teint Foundation and this was the beginning of my obsession with this summer fragrance, Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum.
Terracota Le Parfum was launched in 2014 and it's limited edition but you can still buy it, if you are lucky to find it on stock. I have been hunting for this for almost 2 summers and now it's finally mine!
It's warm, sweet, slightly powdery and extremely sensual. The composition has solar floral notes (white flowers and yellow flowers). It opens up with fresh accords of bergamot, coconut and tiare flower. It's heart includes white flowers such as jasmine, ylang-ylang and orange blossom laid on a seductive base of musk and vanilla.
The silage is soft to moderate, and the perfume lasts around 6 hours on my dry skin and in like forever on my clothes. It develops beautiful, and it wears insanely sensual when is really warm weather! The coconut is there but you won't feel it, it won't come from nowhere to punch you in the face and give you a horrible headache. The Jasmin is lovely, it smells like the real flower, nothing cheap or fake about it!
For some reason Terracota Le Parfum it reminds me of Nuxe Prodigieuse Le Parfume but more sophisticated.
Guerlain Le Parfum is definitely a solar fragrance that match my personality, I can never get bored of it !
Thierry Wasser describes his creation as "the allure of the sun in a bottle" and these are indeed the perfect words to describe Terracotta Le Parfum.
What is your favorite summer scent ?
I have not tried this range before, I love the description of the allure of the sun in a bottle. I am going to have to look out for this
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you like the description!
Deletei have not tried this perfume before but great description and photos! the photos actually make me think this should be an autumn fragrance, no?
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work

No is not an autumn fragrance except if you live somewhere at a hot beach when is autumn and there is a lot of sun.
DeleteI could almost smell it lol. I've never used Guerlain perfume but my mum had some when I was a child. I love floral scents too and my faves are a toss up between Issey Miyake and Kenzo.
ReplyDeleteIf you like the ones from Kenzo you will definitely like this one too.
DeleteThe scent of sun, I really like that name and would not mind trying it. Thanks for your review.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfume is limited edition, they still make it at the moment but is a bit more difficult to find it.
DeleteI love it, "the allure of the sun in a bottle" very enticing. I will surely check this out for I've never tried this brand. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have the chance to try out some Guerlain perfumes because they are amazing .
DeleteI love the packaging. I will.check this out for myself soon. I love trying different scents everytime.
ReplyDeleteIf you still want to try this perfume you need to check it soon because is limited edition and will get discontinued soon.
DeleteI had never heard of this scent before. Your description makes it sound like a scent I would like to try -- will be on the lookout for it.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big bronzer fan, but I do like scents and perfumes.
ReplyDeleteJust as long as they have not been tested on animals and are suitable for more sensitive skin types.
Sadly at this moment I think Guerlain still tests on animals.
DeleteThe perfume looks so fancy. I really like how you photographed it with all the warm colors of the natural world. Together with your description, I get a good sense of it - if not quite the scent itself ;)
ReplyDeleteGuerlain makes only fancy stuff, hopefully I will win the lottery one day and be able to try all their perfumes :) So happy you like how I photograph it,thank you so much!
DeleteIt does have an appealing name and a very interesting packaging. From the composition, the name is well deserved. Great review.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and it has such a lovely composition. Love how it smells !
DeleteSounds like a great brand of perfume. In your depht review this seems to be have a really nice scent. Would love to try this sometime
ReplyDeleteGuerlain is most famous for their luxurious fragrances made in France. They made some of the most iconic fragrances ever done.
DeleteThis looks like such a fun fragrance! The packaging is lovely, and it sounds like it would smell incredible.
ReplyDeleteIt really spells incredible,I can't get enough of it.Sadly I have to move on and use something for cold weather as summer is kinda finished where I live.
DeleteGuerin is one of the luxurious perfume brand that I always wish in my next birthday gift box! Now I am curious about this new scent :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, and this is why I always gift myself a perfume for my birthday. This one was pre-birthday :)))
DeleteHappy to know that you were able to find one. I love floral scents too. Will try to be on a look out for this one too. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are still able to find it.Too nice to miss out!
DeleteI can imagine my girlfriend would absolutely love this scent! Thanks a lot for bringing this to my attention!
ReplyDeleteI am sure she would really love it !
DeleteI figured, I'd true to push my comment through one last time. Luxury perfume that stays on for 6 hours is great. Most cheap mist don't last nearly as long.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your time! Actually 6 hours is not that great for a luxury perfume, but this one is for summer so is not as strong as something spicy warm, usually florals don't last very long and they are more delicate.
Deletefrom the picture itself I can already smell the fragrance of this one. makes me want to have one as I love perfumes that lasts long.
ReplyDeleteNice blog, very interesting to read. I have bookmarked this article page as i received good information from this. Helga Arminak
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear!
