YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

I really love volume and length on my lashes, not just length because long skinny lashes look really wired in my opinion.
YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils (black ) claims high volume and a dramatic false lash effect. Let's see how it does this job !

YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils is not my first mascara with this faux cils effect, I had before something similar from Shiseido and it was a terrible product and I expected the same from YSL but to my surprise I really love this mascara and I have to say that it's completely different than what I imagined.

This  is a travel size product and this is why it looks black, he full size mascara comes in a golden tube; had to mention this little info before I create confusion.

I love how it darkens my lashes and I also love the size of the wand (brush). As you can see the wand (made out of  nylon fiber ) is really simple and perfect for someone with small eyes and it works really good and easy to coat the inner lashes and the bottom lashes.

YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils gived me excellent volume and length without transforming my lashes in hairy spider legs :)))
I have really small and thin lashes and I always wear 2 or 3 coats of mascara to enhance them and make them look fuller and longer.

Usually I don't use mascara on my bottom lashes because I barely have any visible lashes there, but I made a test to see if  YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils has any transfer on the skin over the day. At the end of the day I saw a little bit of transfer (only under my eyes) but not as much as I expected. This mascara is not waterproof and it has paraffin, argan oil, ricin oil, sweet almond oil -all great ingredients for your lashes.

YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils has a non -drying formula and B5 pro-vitamin but also fragrance, just a little bit, not as strong as the (any )mascara from Lancome.

I think that YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils is definitely a keeper, maybe a little bit expensive but it has no fall out, it doesn't dry out lashes, it gives volume and length that you can build up to your desire.

I am curious how do you guys choose your mascara ? Is it the wand or the texture, formula or maybe the price that makes you choose a mascara ?!

  1. Never tried any of their mascaras. For me the wand is important, I hate rubber wands,so I stay away, usually, but there are exceptions like Benefit roller lash mascara. At the moment I'm loving one from MAC, which gives me long full lashes :D

    1. For me also,I care the most about the wand.If the wand is too fat and big I can't even use it.Have not tried anything from Benefit for a long-long time.

  2. I don't buy high end mascaras, not seeing the point to do it 😉, the wand the price and beauty bloggers recommendations are my guide to try other mascaras!

    1. I have to say that sometimes a drugstore mascara if is not on sale can reach 17 euro, and I do find it a little bit just expensive as a 22 euro high end mascara. few years ago I used a very affordable mascara from NYC,I think it was 3 euro but sadly they don't make it anymore and since then I was kind of struggling to find something good with a nice texture.

    2. Elena. I really love max Factor 2000 calorie, it's just the best, the formula is still the same since I've discovered it (2,5 years) ago, for me, must have ☺

    3. This mascara is quite expensive here, around 17 euro,I find it just a little bit too expensive for a drugstore mascara, just like with Lóreal.

    4. From my experience with drugstore mascara, they dry up super fast and some of them it barely has product or they are just super watery for the first 2-3 months.
