Weleda, Skin Care at its Best

I think everyone heard about Weleda, right ? They have natural beauty and skin care, all made with love from flowers and plants. They rock most clean natural ingredients and they blend organic fair trade plants and flowers to create what is best for our delicate skin and hair.

Here are some of my favorite Weleda products : Skin Food, the secret of beautiful skin for a lot of models since 1926, Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream and Revitalising  Hair Tonic, the secret of my strong healthy hair.
 

Weleda Skin Food is a unique, ultra-rich whole-body cream that deeply hydrates, restores and protects skin with nourishing plant oils and extracts (calendula, chamomile, sweet almond oil, sunflower, rosemary leaf oil ). 

The essential fatty acids and vitamin E in organic sunflower seed oil take care of stubborn dryness on your elbows, hands and feet as organic pansy calms dry irritation. Soothing rosemary leaf extract's mild antiseptic properties and the anti-inflammatory properties and organic calendula flower extract gently nourish and care for dry skin.

By far my favorite skin product for cold months, not only for my face but also for my lips, hands, elbows, under eyes. Skin food is super moisturizing and makes the dry damaged skin feel so soft and plump. This green buddy is specially design for very tight skin, stinging and uncomfortable skin.
The smell is herbal, but natural, fresh and a little bit lemony. The texture is thick and rich due to the lanolin but with a perfect formula for dry and sensitive skin. It has no artificial  perfume, no colorant, no mineral oil and no silicons. 
I carry around in my makeup kit a tube of Skin Food, because is the best product to give natural glow to skin, it highlights cheekbones like magic, it helps with chapped lips, calms any skin irritation or skin scratches, eczema and maybe who knows can bring the world peace ?
 Weleda Skin Food is a favorite of makeup artists, models, celebrities and editors world wide and is very safe to use during pregnancy. Is here for us for almost 100 years, and if your skin is dry, damaged and sensitive you must have this in your purse, in your life just because is really a miracle worker.
 

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream  is a replenishing, revitalizing moisturizer for hands that leaves skin soft, protected and healthy.

Sun-soaked organic Sea Buckthorn oil, packed with essential fatty acids, provides refreshing moisture, and vitamins A and E to protect your skin from environmental damage. Organic, fairly traded sesame seed oil from Mexico nourishes skin and renders hardworking hands palpably soft and smooth.

It has an uplifting natural fragrance from pure essential oils of mandarin, orange and grapefruit, that takes your mind away from daily stress. It penetrates quickly without leaving an oily layer on the skin. Some of the Weleda products come in a metallic tube, just like Skin Food and the Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream. This aluminum packaging helps preserve the products, it helps keep the light away from interacting with the formula, causing to degrade. All the aluminum tubes used by Weleda are free of nickel. I thought this little info might be of some importance for people who suffer from allergies to nickel.

Weleda Revitalising  Hair Tonic is a hair tonic that can be used daily without having to wash out and that doesn’t leave oily deposits on the hair. The main ingredient in Weleda Revitalising Hair Tonic is rosemary oil, which is known for stimulating hair growth and improving circulation of the scalp. Additional extracts of stonecrop and horseradish leaves are said to improve the supply of nutrients to the roots of the hair, maintaining a healthy scalp.

Weleda Revitalising Hair Tonic has a water-like consistency as opposed to oily, which makes it easy to apply drops and massage with your fingertips into the scalp. This hair tonic lotion was wining the Platinum Award 2013 for Best New Natural hair product. I use this lotion only for a month during fall and another month during spring. This lotion is recommended for hair loss and dryness but don't expect new hairs to grow, I think this product is more to prevent a future hair loss than to treat a hair loss.

I would absolutely recommend this tonic to those who want to pep up their hair, get some shine and volume back in and to detox and invigorate your scalp.
