The Body Shop Rose Dewy Glow Face Mist

I really like to spray a fine mist of fresh floral water over my makeup because it gives such a nice glow and cuts off that powdery look. Rose Dewy Glow Face Mist is my second face mist from The Body Shop, I also had the one with Aloe Vera, but this one with rose is much more delightful and soothing.

The Body Shop Rose Dewy Glow Face Mist is floral but also quite fruity. Blended with a delicious raspberry essence, cherry water from France, Community Trade British rose essence and Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico. Makeup friendly, with reflective particles, this face mist gives your skin a dewy, illuminated glow. Suitable for all skin types, amazing for dull skin lacking glow. Most hydrating rose face mist I ever had!

This super-fruit is packed with so many vitamins and nutrients that can add life back to dull and tired skin. This fruit is intensely hydrating for dry skin and may be useful for preventing free radical damage from UV light.

The watermelon tread in skincare appears to originate in Korea but Korres, an award-winning  Greek skin care brand also has an amazing watermelon mask.

Korres Watermelon Revitalizing Mask is a beauty shot facial mask infused with antioxidant-rich watermelon extract,  nourishing sweet almond oil and macadamia seed oil. It comes in a small and friendly travel size tube, 18 ml. This product is cruelty free, vegan and free from animal by-product. My Favorite Vitamin C Skin Boosters And How To Use Vitamin C In Your Skin Care Routine

The antioxidant properties of vitamin C help fight free radicals and damage caused by UV radiation.

Vitamin C will boost your skin's collagen production to give you firmer, more plump skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles out.

When added to your daily skin  care routine, vitamin C provides a range of benefits, from evening out your complexion, shielding skin from the visible impacts of pollution, significantly  helping and improving the hydration and leaving your skin looking younger, longer.

When looking for a suitable vitamin C product, finding the right concentration is really important. Also the way that the vitamin C is produced is a key factor in how efficient will work for your skin.

Vitamin C can break down in UV light and lessens its potency, this is why is best to keep your vitamin C skin care in a dark environment.

Here are my vitamin C skin boosters :

Hylamide C25 is a concentrated Vitamin C serum for smoother, brighter skin. The formula is light, effective and easily absorbed. It can be used twice a day and it targets dullness, uneven tone, uneven texture and fine lines.Vegan, cruelty free, silicon free, oil-free, alcohol-free, silicone-free.

Antipodes Holo Skin Brightening Facial Mud Mask

Do you know that sometimes you need to get dirty to get clean ?

The skincare junkie in me wanted a new face mask and I just got my very first product from Antipodes. I've heard so many good things about this skincare brand from New Zealand and I was simply dyeing to try their products.

I thought it would be a great idea to start with this Holo Skin Brightening Facial Mud Mask enriched with Vinanza Grape & Kiwi, Avocado oil, extract of peony flower and of course volcanic and regenerative mud from New Zealand.

Antipodes has pure, safe and natural formulations created from unpolluted New Zealand nature.

Whatever you add to your skin is ingested, and for the power of beautiful skin and a healthy body, Antipodes is using only the most premium ingredients.

This Antipodes mud mask delivers a high performance detox for a luminous complexion. The volcanic mud is rich in sulfur, calcium, silicon and sodium and it binds to the skin's oils and absorbs them without living behind a dry and dehydrated skin like a clay mask usually does.
Mud is similar to clay as they both come from earth, but they are very different because the mud is water based and its also a great skin healing agent while clay is more harsh and drying. Mud is mineral rich, has regenerative properties and it has been harnessed for beauty treatments all over the world for centuries.

Yummylicious Serum - Lush And Organic French Skincare, Made in Paris

For almost two weeks I am using in my skin care routine, morning and evening, every single day a new serum, and not just any serum but a hand made, organic and extremely luxurious serum made by Kristina Soley, the founder of Yummylicious Serums

Kristina has a huge passion for beauty and she also has a massive experience in skin care, beauty and wellness. I met her via Instragram, she is very friendly, humble, kind and professional and she loves to help people achieve beautiful healthy skin. She gifted me a bottle of her serum and she told me she hopes I like it because she made it with love and good intentions.

From her passion for beauty Kristina founded Yummylicious Serums and they are based in Paris, but available  international.

She told me she calls the serum Yummylicious because it feels delicious and soft on the skin. Now, after I tried her serum I can definitely say that she was right, her serum is amazing, it has such a beautiful texture that melts on your skin, leaving it hydrated and so very soft.

The Body Shop Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask 100%Vegan and fully Biodegradable

Sheet  face masks originated from South Korea where people are known for their dedication on cosmetics and skincare.

Only last year the sale of sheet masks increased about 60 %, overwhelming the sale of other skin care products. Unfortunately when we use sheet masks we have a left over waste and that's not very good for the environment, unless you are using eco-friendly options and fully biodegradable sheets face masks, like The Body Shop Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask, which is a really new addition to the Drops of Youth skincare line.

The Body Shop Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask is made of a cellulose fiber derived from renewable sourced wood pulp and is fully biodegradable. You can trow it in your compost bin and it will take around 42 days to disintegrate. Good for your skin but also good for the planet ! How cool is that ? This makes it instantly my favorite sheet mask!

Favorite Skincare in 2018

I discovered such amazing and revolutionary skincare in 2018! Oils, creams, cleansers and serums with fabulous formulas that truly changed my life and helped me achieve flawless skin without making a massive hole in my bank account.

Favorite skincare in 2018 :

The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cleansing Oil- in- Gel - super gentle and perfect for dry skin, vegan and cruelty free formula.

Korres Olympus Tea 3-in-1 Cleansing Emultion - I love the fluid and gentle formula, it smells absolutely delicious like all the Korres products, also vegan.

Red Earth Radiance Boosting Toner with Australian Honey and Organic Pomegranate, this is more like an essence as texture, smells very natural and fresh, offers amazing relief for dry and sensitive skin.

Sukin Super Greens Skincare - food for your skin, vegan and cruelty free

Sukin Super Greens line is derived from botanicals and antioxidants which hydrate and leave the skin radiant and glowing. This Super Greens line is a blend of Kale, Spirulina, Parsley and Chlorella combined with nourishing Acai, Goji to leave a clean, brightened and revitalized complexion.

My first product from the Super Green line was the detoxifying clay mask and after, I just had to buy and try more products from this line, serum and Chia seed oil -all so good !

Sukin Detoxifying Clay Mask is a white clay based masque with Kale, Goji berry and Bentonite and is enriched with vitamins and antioxidants to detox, brighten the complexion and minimize the appearance of fine lines. This mask also has Avocado, Baobab and Rosehip Oil to promote an even skin tone through intensive hydration properties. Skin is replenished, contributing towards maintaining youthful, glowing skin. Suitable for normal skin, especially dull.
I had to hunt a lot for this product because it was always out of stock, I finally got it and is one of my favorite clay masks. It's really detoxifying but without being too harsh on skin and without striping it of its natural oils. Compared to other masks you need layer this one on damp skin and not on dry skin, it works even better if you are using an essence before. I get amazing results when I combine this mask with an essence from The Body Shop: my skin is left so soft and feels clean and pure without being dry and annoyed. It works really good to prevent unwanted blemishes and hormonal spots because of the antioxidants and vitamins.

Say Hello to a new product from The Body Shop, their first 100 % vegan Make-up Setting Spray

Fade and smudge resistant, this Makeup Setting Spray mist from The Body Shop is enriched with Community Trade Aloe Vera, one of the most amazing plants.
Like I mentioned before this is a vegan beauty product and cruelty free, one of the many reasons why I support and promote The Body Shop !

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Glow Face Mask and Purifying Facial Soap

It has been more than a month since I started using products from THE BODY SHOP Himalayan Charcoal line and I am ready to talk about these 2 products and how they worked for my skin, but first I would like to mention that these 2 products were offered to me by Hivency and The Body Shop and this review, like any of my other reviews, is based on my personal experience and all opinions are my own.

I already mentioned few things about these 2 products on my Instagram when I started using them -that was about a month ago and I thought would be really great if I would come back with a more detailed review here.

The Body Shop formulated a series of vegan facial masks, inspired by traditional beauty remedies all over the world. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask is one of them and was made for skin that needs to release impurities and toxins to help reveal a healthy and youthful glow.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Kit -Youth Bouncy Eye Mask and Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

It was 10 years ago when I went into one of The Body Shop stores. Back then I was living in Romania and in the center of Bucharest we had this amazing and fabulous The Body Shop store. I was so fascinated by everything they had, makeup and skincare. It was like a piece of heaven to me. I  bought a very soft makeup brush, a lipstick and a body mist that was smelling divine, Moroccan Rose if I remember correctly.

Today, The Body Shop is more than just a cosmetic brand that sells makeup and skincare.
Their dedication for being so involved with preserving and helping to rewild the world, enriching the environments of many endangered animals (like the Malaysian tiger ), helping wild animals to thrive in their natural habitat. The Body Shop is now a part of a new global cosmetics group Natura & Co working together with other cosmetic brands to make beauty a force for good and for change. All of their products are cruelty free and they are constantly fighting to end animal testing in cosmetics globally forever.

I simply love the fact that they are so involved in creating a better world for us, working fairly with farmers and suppliers and helping communities thrive through a Community Trade program, being 100% vegetarian and always and forever being firmly against animal testing and cruelty.

I am really grateful to be able to discover and incorporate some of The Body Shop products in my skin care routine.

Sukin - Naturally derived, cruelty free and vegan skincare

A while ago when I was browsing the internet, looking to change my skincare to a more natural, non toxic and vegan type, I discovered Sukin. At first I thought it was something Japanese or Korean but when I looked into it I found out that Sukin is made in Australia.

Before I buy skincare or makeup I like to find out a little bit about the brand and their vision and values, if they test on animals or if they use recyclable packaging. I dont know if most people look up these things before they decide to buy cosmetics, but for me brand philosophy is quite important. More important than what is trending on Instagram or in online beauty editorials. Looking into a brand philosophy should be just as important as checking the ingredient list before you buy something.

I LOVE THE SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY behind Sukin: all their formulations are 100% Carbon Neutral, biodegradable and grey water safe. All of the products produced by Sukin are Australian made with ingredients that are naturally derived, cruelty free and vegan.

You might think this article is sponsored but it's not; I think it's about time that we promote for free the love of natural and healthy companies that really show respect for the environment and and for us as clients. I wish I was able to find their products at my Holland & Barrett and if that would ever happen I will probably get everything they sell. So far I was able to shop for some of their products online at various retailers but it's been difficult to find the products I wanted, especially the ones from the new super green range.
